    look at it this way if jet ski falls off of trailer insurance for it would really come in handy. when the person see’s the damage it caused his cadilac or lincoln town car and ask for your insurance papers . Robert N

    You do not have to have boater’s insurance in California . In some states there is a requirement to carry insurance, so always check with the boating law admin istrator’s office in the state you plan to boat in. For contacts in other states, visit

    Though insurance is not required, you are liable for any damages you cause. Insurance for boats & watercraft is generally inexpensive compared to auto insurance & I recommend carrying insurance at all times on your vehicles. One mishap could end up putting you in debt for life if you are uninsured & end up injuring or killing someone. Melissa
