The factors for choosing the right ski instruments?
How many months is ski and snow month in the ski resorts in the United States?
Where can I find reviews for ski equipment?
Looking for my first pair of skis. Doing a lot of research online, but having a hard time finding websites or forums with lots of reviews to read about different brands and models. Looking for user-written opinions, rather than glossy manufacturer literature. Don’t need ad-driven, mainstream magazine rhetoric, either. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help!
How do you figure out what type of ski to buy?
My whole family is going to be skiing several times a year and I think it would make sense to buy our own skis. Whenever we go we usually fill out a form and talk to the guys at the rental place and they fit us and we go on our way.
I noticed that skis have gotten better in the past 10+ years, but I don’t really understand how they work or what you look for when you shop for them. I also know that you have to buy the boots and the binding.
My dad and I are both intermediate skiers, my brother is a intermediate/advanced and my mom is a novice. What are some good ways to research skis and figure out which ones to get?
How long to Downhill ski boots last?
I have 2 pr of downhill ski boots that have been in storage for 5yrs. Are they still good, or should I replace them before a ski trip this winter?
Where can I find a website that talks about the best places to stay for a ski vacation in the US?
Looking for ski in ski out, near or at the mountain, with a city life and shopping within walking distance – any help?
What ski should I buy to replace my K2 Threes?
I bought a pair of K2 Three skis about 7 years ago. I don’t know what skis are comparable to these skis now. What should I buy?
What is the best big foot mini ski that I can buy in Norway?
What is so great about a composite ski pole?
I’m an advanced skier and was wondering if a standard aluminum ski pole is good enough.
What towns are close or inside a ski area in Canada and the US?
I am looking for a place to live which is really close to a ski area. I would prefer a ski in/ski out location but something at the base of a mountain would be nice. Whistler is about the ideal location but there must be other communities like this.
I am looking for a town similar to Whistler. I know about Whistler/Blackcomb but would like to find another “undiscovered” town/city which has a ski resort very close to town. Looking for somewhere to build a small apartment building for ski fanatics.
The key thing for asking this questions is if anyone knew any “undiscovered” locations. I realize that a lot of the major ones are inside but looking for something smaller.
