What are some of the top lodges/ski resorts for married couples to stay at in Colorado?

My husband and I want to try something different. We went to Vegas in June and had a good time, but I want to find something more romantic to do. Neither of us has ever been skiing before, but we really want to try something out of the norm. I am thinking of a romantic five night trip sitting in front of the fire sipping on cocoa and eating marshmallows. We would rent a car so we could take a tour of the city.

Any suggestions? Nothing that is ridiculously expensive. We will be flying out of DFW.

We’re taking a trip to Boulder in January and were only planning on skiing/snowboarding for one day. We are all beginners but I’m wondering is that enough time to really enjoy it or should we go a second day as well?

We have access to vail, beaver creek, arapaho basin, keystone and have already skied breckenridge. My family will stay mostly on the blue trails with a few green trails and the rare blacks. Were somewhat new to skiing and are just looking to have a good time. What resorts would you rrecommendto us novice sskiers
