Hi, I live in NYC. Which ski resort within 3 hours of NYC does the best job at teaching snowboarding?

How do you decide whether you should ski or snowboard?

Is is worth snowboarding on a dry ski slope?

Some of my friends say that dry ski slopes are a waste of time and advise me not to bother. However, this is the only option available to me at the moment. Can you just put your foot into the bindings and get off the ski lift?
