How do I prevent slow movement while ski boarding on flat terrain?

This spring I tried ski boarding, and the only problem that I had was that every time I hit the bottom or section of a slope that was flat I stopped. I waxed my skis and that didn’t help very much at all. There was mostly corn snow, ice and mushy snow where I was, so that may be a factor. I didn’t run into any slowage while skiing with full length skis, however.

once its flat theres not much you can do unless you have poles, the only thing to do is gain speed from a hill and try and go fast on it to get past it jc

get into a tuck position. what u do is u touch ur thighs to your chest and pull your arms out in front of you..

you can also push off your skis as if youre ice skating. and use your poles to pull you. adpski23

there is not much you can do especially in spring slush but tuck, imagine how people on snowboards feel, mor surface area touching the snow, and no poles to push. Colin the oglenator

Like everyone else has been saying, try tucking down. The less of you that’s against the wind, the less wind resistance therefore the faster you go. The only I can think of beside that is to “duck walk”…(One ski steps then the other, in a v formaiton. Push off each foot as you switch)-Good luck and hope ur ski seasons good! Katy L
