How do I remove ski bindings off of an old pair of cross country skis?

I have unscrewed a few screws from the binding, but there seems to be a strong adhesive on the back. I still can’t pry it off.

*Don’t leave any comments on how to remove your boot from the binding. I’m not interested in that.

  1. Jim W says:

You might try a heat gun designed to remove paint from wood. I suspect the cosmetic finish on the skis has adhered to the binding and is acting like glue. Jim W

When the bindings were screwed on to the ski, they covered the screw with glue to keep water out.

there my be some left over glue stuck between the binding and the ski. Get a putty knife, wedge it between the ski and binding, and tap on it with a hammer. X x
