I would like to plan a ski trip to Chili but don’t know anyone who has been there. Is September a good month to go there? Are there nice resorts out there?

You mean Chile? It’s pronounced “chee-lay” or “chill-aye”, not “chillie”

it is a good month, it’s the same as skiing in March in North America. Their high mountains and good snowfall make it comparable to Colorado’s ski areas. The resorts are not that nice, to be honest. Lots of tow ropes, and they’re not very big. Crikey a Wild Ski Bum

Yes. Crikey the Ski Bum is misinformed. Portillo in Chile is an excellent ski area with lots of challenging terrain. Termas de Chillan is a very unique ski area, different than other ski areas in Chile. I first went to Chile in 2007 during the summer, and have gone back every year. I enjoy the terrain, and Portillo is an awesome deal and a romantic place. It’s awesomely fun and a unique cultural experience. Ben
