Around the I-70 area, I know Telluride, Silverton etc are great but they are far away. Personally my favorite is Breckenridge because they have the best above treeline skiing in my opinion.

75% of the Colorado ski resorts seem to be located near I-70. Is the snow not very good along Hwy 285? Is this an arid area of the rockies and all the snow dumped on the other side?

My boyfriend and I are saving for a ski trip to Colorado. He’s been skiing before, but i have not. I want this trip to be special, so I would like a great place to go.
