What are some good ski hills in colorado with a small town atmosphere? ?

If downhill ski run grades are never identical, how can world record standards be set?

No two ski hills are the same: different topography, iciness/snowiness with varying degrees of steepness depending on the hill. A 100 meter running race or even a speed skating race must always have precisely the same conditions and length regardless the Olympic venue, so how can one say a world record has been “set” if the downhill course is always different every Olympics?

How do you decide whether you should ski or snowboard?

I am going to the ski hills on Thursday and I can’t decide whether I want to ski or snowboard. It’s going to be the same amount of money whether I rent ski equipment or snowboard equipment. I can also receive free lessons in snowboarding or skiing. So which one do I choose and why??
