I have the track lifted out but the 2 front skis are in about an inch of dirt. They are frozen in so that I think if I started the snowmobile & tried to move it, it would break the ski’s.

KeyPyle asked:

I have new bindings on older skis. They have been fitted to my old skis and I have gone skiing with them a few times with no troubles. I just got new skis and wanted to know if I need to take then to the shop to transfer the bindings. I don’t need any size changes, just the bindings transferred. The skis are a different make and model, as well as being smaller in length. Also, do if a shop is needed, do I need to bring in my ski boots if the bindings are already sized for them?

Darrell Baumler asked:

I am looking for a quality ski boot. I have a good set of skis and need some new boots. I only ski a few times of year so the boots don’t need to be for difficult skiing. I am 20 years old and am 5′ 2″ and weigh 115 lbs. I have looked at some Roxy boots and they seem good but I don’t know much about them. Any suggestions of quality boots would be appreciated.

I rented boots last year and forgot what size they were. I bought new boots this year that are 26.5 and my right ski is set to 4.5, my left ski to 5.5. My skis are 163 long, weigh 130 lbs, 5ft. 8in. tall, and am intermediate skier. I don’t know why the bindings are set differentlly and need to know if they need to be adjusted.

I just bought new skis, and they are 146, compared to my previous 130’s. I know that isn’t like a huge difference, but should I adjust anything, technically speaking? Thanks!

I would like to purchase in advance, but I am from out of state. We need 2 adult 4-day passes and skis. I haven’t found any websites that sell skis packaged with lift tickets, or any deals like that. Can I get some advice? We will be traveling December 2010. The cheapest I have found is 212 for a 4 day pass per person. Thanks!

I need help in my homework. There are two skis with the same width but different lengths. Why is it that the longer ski is better for standing on soft snow compared to the shorter one? Please explain it to me in the best way you can. ( In a scientific way.)
