Your height, your weight, shoe size, and your experience level. Your height determines how long your skis should be, your weight determines how strong of an arch the ski has, your shoe size determines your ski boot size, and your experience level determines whether or not to use ski poles, you should get those when you gain experience. mrsmousy

Your skies should be as tall as you are or at least to eye level, boots should be snug with only a little toe wiggle room, poles should be at the point where your arms make 90 degree angles. You should dress warm, but not exsively warm you will be using alot of muscles so you don’t want to over heat yourself. I’ve been skiing 19 years so I’ve got it down packed. I’ve also skiied all up and down the East coast and been to Park City, Utah and my dad lives in Denver, Colorado. nemrt19
