    the closest ones would be in Missouri, although i seriously doubt that the quality there is anything worth making a long car ride for. If you have the time and money, take a plane out to a place in colorado or new mexico, and spend at least 3 days there if not a whole week. colorado will certainly have larger mountains, but you probably wouldn’t be getting all of your money’s worth there, as you would not be able to ski the whole mountain since you’ve never gone before. your best bet is probably a mid size resort in new mexico. check out this website and click on new mexico to get a list of all of the resorts and their reviews there: erik v
