What material is the core of an elan illusion ski?

    Wood, almost all skis have wood cores these days. The illusions would work for park, but because Elan is a more “Classic” brand, all there park skis will be mediocre and over priced. Brands like Line, Armada and 4FRNT have great “park dedicated” skis that are also very inexpensive. I suggest the Line After-bangs if you want to ski only park on this pair of skis, or the Line Chronic if you want something more all-mountain. TC

    Yep its a wood core with a fiber glass wrap. To say that it is not a good ski because it is not a pure twin tip ski comp is insane. Elan makes some amazing skis that being said the ski you are looking at is more of a big mountain soft snow ski so if you are looking for a park ski you might look else where. Keep you eye out for a ski under 85mm under foot. Mike C
