One other suggestion is to go to Estes Park to the Stanley hotel which was the inspiration for the book the Shining by Stephen King. There are always good plays, concerts, and sporting activities going on somewhere in the city. There are several wonderful golf courses. The aquarium is quite nice. You can tour a candy factory. The mint has tours and they are free. If you are going far enough to go skiing you can go to Rocky Mountain National Park or you could drive down to Colorado Springs and go to the top of Pikes Peak. Denver University has a wonderful gymnastics team which is usually ranked nationally. There is a lot of shopping, and you can tour the Coors plant in Golden.
