Here’s the website with all you need to know about skiing in Colorado:

Maps, information, lodging – it’s all there. You have to understand that Colorado is filled with ski areas and resorts and you’ll have to decide what your looking for by doing a little research.

There is no “affordable” lodging near the ski slopes during ski season (and no one has any idea what’s “affordable” for you). The ski season is generally from late November through mid-April. If you ski early or late in the season, you will find better deals. Any time between Christmas and late March is high season and can be very expensive.

Look at some of the smaller ski areas that don’t have lodging close by for cheaper passes (Loveland, Eldora, Sunlight for instance) You’ll have to stay further away and drive to get there, but that might be a way to find affordable lodging. Mama Gretch
